"Avant-Funk" quintet Ahimsa Beat just released its first CD. Featuring six cuts, the jams include Frank Singer on Midi-Guitar, Eric Brewer on guitar, Rickie Hopkins of JD and the Sons of Rhythm on drums, and Joel Polacci on persussion, also of JD and Sons.
 
Band leader Stephen Trohoske (bass) wrote the songs, and led the project. This collections of tunes showcases the musicians and lets the music flow naturally into the live club.
